What is Conveyancing?

“CONVEYANCING” is the name given to the specialised process of transferring real rights in immovable (fixed) property from one person to another, this includes from or to a company, close corporation or trust, which are registered in the Deeds Registry Offices throughout the country.

This specialised process also encompasses the process of the registration of mortgage bonds where the lender of the financial institution will require the purchaser / mortagor to register a mortgage bond over the immovable (fixed) property, which they own, to secure the loan.
